A family-run pet shop built on a love for animals.
As pet owners ourselves, we want to be more than just another pet shop in Bradford. We want a business that combines the warmth of a local store with the convenience of online shopping, so whether you’re popping in with your dog or ordering from home, you’ll always find carefully chosen products and honest advice.
How It All Began
FourTails started the way most of our plans do: over a cup of tea, surrounded by pets, chatting about what we could build next.
We’re Bradford born and bred, and live up in Queensbury. We’ve never really known a home without pets.
Between us, we’ve raised two kids, grown two other businesses, and had muddy hooves, wagging tails, and the occasional chewed slipper along the way. Today, we share our home with four bonkers dogs and two grumpy rabbits, who very much keep us on our toes.
For years, we talked about creating a pet-related business. Not just a shop, but something more personal. A place built on proper advice, quality products, and a genuine love for dogs, cats, and small animals. Somewhere that local pet owners could feel comfortable asking questions and bringing their pets through the door.
Then Unit 4 at Royds Enterprise Park became available, and we’re not usually ones to ignore a sign.
Unit 4. FourTails. It felt meant to be.
That was the moment the idea stopped being something we talked about and started becoming something real.
Who We Are
As established local business owners, we understand the importance of reliability, good service, and doing things properly. We’ve built FourTails with those same standards. We have carefully selected the food, treats, toys, and essentials that we stock, focusing on quality and value, choosing products that we’d happily use for our own pets.
You’ll find us at Royds Enterprise Park in BD6, welcoming pet owners from across Bradford and the surrounding areas. FourTails isn’t about cramming shelves full of anything and everything. It’s about creating a friendly, independent pet shop where community matters, advice is honest, and every pet is treated like family.

Meet Our Pets
Every good pet shop needs a team of four‑legged (and occasionally long‑eared) supervisors — and ours take their roles very seriously. They’re the inspiration behind FourTails and the reason we care so much about choosing products that are safe, reliable, and genuinely loved by real pets.
Meg
We’ve had Meg from 4 months old. She’s the most gentle furball you’ll ever meet. Meg loves zoomies! On hand for cuddles most days.
Penny
AKA Posh Paws! She honestly thinks she is royalty. Loves to snuggle up on the sofa, or in one of her many beds, and hates to go for a walk.
Boom
Boom by name, Boom by nature! There’s never a dull moment with this girl around but we wouldn’t have it any other way.
Pixie
The baby of the family, but don’t be fooled by her tiny size and cuteness. This one can hold her own and loves a fluffy bed, or four!
Thumper
Grumpy Thumps. Loves a good scratch, throwing his plastic cups, and binkies in the garden. Shares his spinach with Pixie most days.
Snoopy
Always hungry. Likes to run and not get caught, so we often have to herd him back to the shed. Loves treat sticks and carrots!
